Leroy Cotton Obituary

Leroy R. Cotton passed away peacefully Sunday, 7/9/2017 at Four Corners Health Care Center. He was born in Pagosa Springs, CO 10/10/1955. Leroy's life was spent outdoors where he loved to camp, hunt, fish, cut wood & spend time with family & friends. Leroy enjoyed life & lived on his own terms. He had many jobs, including working for the U.S. Forestry, Pagosa Mounted Rangers, ASA Umpire, wood cutter & mechanic, among others. He was preceded in death by his mother Amanda Stollsteimer, Father Glenn W. Cotton, 2 brothers & 2 sisters. He is survived by wife Molly Cotton, son Fred Cotton, daughter Amy Cotton, granddaughters Pamela & Sky Cotton, grandson Mark Cotton-Archuleta, brothers, sister, nieces, nephews, and great nieces & nephews. A remembrance service will be held in Pagosa Springs at the Centerpoint Church, 2750 Cornerstone Dr., Saturday, 7/15/2017 at 10:00 am. All are welcome to attend and speak.

GOD BLESS OUR FAMILY AS WE DEAL WITH ALL OF THE FEELINGS THAT HAPPEN WHEN WE LOSE OUR LOVED ONES! NOBODY DEALS WITH A LOSS THE SAME. LEROY LOVED EVERYONE AND HE WAS VERY PROUD OF HIS FAMILY AND LOVED THEM DEARLY I REMEMBER WHEN FREDRICK WAS LITTLE HE WAS GORGEOUS WHEN MY DAUGHTER WAS A BABY HE WOULD COME INTO GRAMS AND SIT BY HER AND ONE DAY HE CAME IN AND HE SAID HELLO PUPPY PUDDLES AND I KNEW RIGHT THEN HE HAD HIS DADDYS SENSE OF HUMOR!! AND TALK ABOUT A PROTECTOR HE WAS A TRUE BIG BROTHER TO SISTER AMY! HE WOULD SAY THATS MY SISTER DONT TOUCH HER OR THATS MY SISTER DONT LOOK AT HER! It's still not real for me that Dad is not here. What I can tell you all is the last week of Dads life he had a good time doing what he wanted to do, it was good to see Dad smile. He was happy and looked good. Telling jokes and being him self. Thank You for your stories about My Dad. It warms my heart to know he made memory's with everyone who met him.
