LeAnna Bell Obituary

Former longtime Durango resident LeAnna Louise Bell, 47, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2010, in Denver. The cause of death was

complications from surgery to remove a brain tumor.

Mrs. Bell was born to George Arthur and Mary French Cady on Sept. 1, 1962, in Denver. She lived in various places

during her childhood before settling in Durango, where she graduated from Durango High School.

After a temporary move to Denver, Mrs. Bell returned to Durango, where she worked at City Market until an injury forced

her retirement.

“LeAnna was a kind and loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend to all," her family wrote. “She is much loved by

her family and friends."

Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Keith Bell.

She is survived by her daughter, Candace Virginia Bell, of Golden; father, George Cady, of Littleton; mother, Mary

Rhodes, of Thornton; brother, Brent Cady, of Denver; sisters Mary Beth Lamb, Kacy Lopez and Melissa Curtis, all of

Florida; one grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A potluck memorial service will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at the Durango/La Plata Senior

Center, 2424 Main Ave.
