We knew Lavenia only through her amazing family members and through the many contributions she has (and each of you have) given to our community and to all of us. You are always in our hearts and prayers.

I remember her wonderful kindness for me when I went to Ignacio High School. In my yearbook she wrote, "God bless my people who read. You can go anywhere you want to go." What a gentle soul!

I was so sorry to read of Lavenia's passing this afternoon - it was an honor to have worked and shared with her while we lived in Bayfield. Blessings and God's peace to her family and friends as you gather to celebrate her life journey.

Sorry to hear of Lavenia's passing. I am the niece of Raymond Davis. I had the pleasure of getting to know Lavenia and visit her on occasion when in the Bayfield area. She also taught my mom Helen Davis. She was a great lady. My thoughts and prays with all her family. Carol Campbell Soderquist

Miss Morgan was my teacher at Suunyside school, this was before married. We all loved her. She enjoyed snow sledding with us on the sunnyside hill, taking hikes, ice skating and we did have time for lots of studing. Oh how I enjoyed having such a special friend. A member of the LaPlata County Cowbelles for years. What a lady.
