There are no words that can express how deeply sorry I feel. Larry was good friend and I valued his friendship, kindness and thoughtfulness. He was there for me in 2014 when times were tough, a true friend. Smart and talented, a tremendous musician. I will miss the great conversations & all the .38 special band stories while riding around looking for real estate. The fun times on ham radio and hanging out at the lake house. I will always keep those great memories in my heart, reminding me of how life should be lived and what a super friend he was. Larry will be missed by all. My deepest condolences to the family.

I met Larry back in 2007 when he bought a boat from me when I was selling boats down in Jacksonville. He was leaning up on the boat and I went out to talk to him. After we talked about the boat, he said he wanted to buy it. I asked him what he did for a living, and he told me that although "I was probably too young to know, but he played bass for a little old band called .38 Special". I said "What?" and told him I was a huge fan and lived to their music back in high school and still was a fan, but I just didn't know who all the band member names. I think he thought that I was just pulling his leg to close the deal, but as I walked back inside to start the paperwork, I told him to "Hold On Loosely, But Don't Let Go" and he gave a big belly laugh and said; "You do know our band don't you?" He was such a super nice guy and when he picked his boat up, brought me BBQ and we shared lunch. He left me quite a bit of .38 Special stuff like hats and T shirts that I still have today. He was a fun guy and although just a short blip on the RADAR of life for me to meet him, he left a lasting impression and was a neat guy...Godspeed...and may the Lord Jesus keep and bless your family L.J.
