Kathy Ryan Obituary

She passed peacefully surrounded by family after a long, hard battle of diabetes for 40+ years and a stoke in 1995. She was one tough lady who has endured a lot of pain in her life and now she can be at peace and free again.

She was born in Gunnison, CO Jan. 17, 1952 and was raised in Durango, CO her whole life. She lived in Aztec, NM & OK the last year. She was a CNA for Mercy Medical center for many years before being disabled by a stroke. She loved to go to the casino, spending time with family, playing Yahtzee, drives in the mountains, camping, baking, gardening, and her grandchildren.

She is survived by a huge family including her daughter, 2 sons, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Tara Safran (Chris) Makayla, Emily & Savanna, Elliot Ryan (Candice) Kiley and Ethan, Emmet Ryan (Leesa) Kellee, Lareesa, Ashlee & Kameron and Mila. Mother, Eileen Meyer, Sisters- Donna Belford, Shirley Sabian, Linda Slade. Brother, Kenny Meyer. Ex-Husband, Robert Ryan of 45 years and tons of nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles. She is proceeded in death by her father, Tony Meyer, Sister- Vicki Werts and Brother Dan Meyer, Best Friend Debbie Hill (a few months ago).
