Katherine Scrivner Obituary
She was born on July 1, 1922 in Georgetown, KY, the daughter of Paul M. & Alma Florence (Robinson) Batsel.
She married Whitley "Scriv" C. Scrivner on Feb 12, 1943 at the First Baptist Church in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on March 9,2017. Other survivors include two daughters, Karen Rhea of Ann Arbor, and Jenny Scrivner of Scottsdale, AZ; 4 grandchildren; and a brother,Charles Bridges Batsel of Albuquerque.
In addition to her husband, Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, William Batsel, and a son, Michael.
Katherine taught Sunday School for many years and was an avid reader.
No services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse.

This is a wonderful picture! Katherine was a wonderful and very giving person. She meant a lot to a lot of people in Durango. I also know she loved her family dearly. I hope you have many fond memories to cherish. Some of my memories include her love of kids in Sunday school and, my favorite, is when she enouranged my idea to hang my Christmas tree upside down (at the end of a very tough year) and roped W.C. into helping me do it.
