John Dulac Obituary
Known as "J.J." he was born to John and Ruth Dulac on July 28, 1944, in Denver. Mr. Dulac worked as a police detective in Myrtle Beach, Calif., in pest control for 20 years and in security for the Bank of Colorado and Bank of San Juans in Durango.
He had lived in Durango for 30 years.
In 1991, he married Kathy J. Lytle in Chula Vista, Calif. The couple renewed their vows Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010, at Mercy.
Mr. Dulac belonged to Calvary Chapel, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4031 and American Legion Post No. 26.
He was an avid motorcyclist.
Mr. Dulac is survived by his wife of 19 years, Kathy J. Lytle Dulac; and two children.
Cremation will occur. A memorial service will be held at a later date. At 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010, the American Legion, 878 East Second Ave., will hold a benefit dinner/dance to help pay Mr. Dulac's medical bills.
A memorial fund in the name of John Alphonse Dulac Jr., has been set up at First National Bank of Durango, P.O. Box 2910, Durango, CO 81302.
