JoAnn Schaaf Obituary
She is survived by her son and daughter, Paul and Tora, her husband Wayne, step-children Shad (Cheryl), and Kelly (Chad), 3 grandchildren (Brandon, Etta, and Avery), and many extended family members. A loving mother, sister, wife, grandmother, and a Registered Nurse, she spent her life taking care of others.
She and her first husband, Don Zimmerman, had two children, but divorced in 1972. She and Wayne Schaaf were married in 2004. The two bought a piece of land in southwestern Colorado, and turned it into a working cattle ranch. When she contracted pulmonary fibrosis and could no longer live in Colorado, Jo and Wayne moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where she resided until her death.
Her life will be honored at a memorial service at the Elks' Club in Cortez, Colorado on June 4th at 2:00pm.

it's funny the simple and seemingly insignificant things that we remember and that amaze us about someone. I remember cousin Jo teaching me as a teenager in grandma Grace's kitchen that you can put leftover green beans in a meatloaf! I seldom make my own meatloaf anymore, but when I do, there she is, my touch of Jo joy!
