Joan Casey Obituary

Joan Casey passed from this world to the next on May 6, 2023, shortly after celebrating her 90th birthday, (picture shown here). Born Joan Rita Kelly in 1933, Joan married the love of her life, Bob Casey, in 1953 and is survived by their three children, Karen, Bill (Bev) and Jim (Barb), eight grandchildren, Megan, Casey, Katie, Johnny, Christopher, Maggie, Erin and Joe, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Joan and Bob lived in the same home on the south side of Chicago for more than 30 years before retiring to the sun and warmth of Arizona. Soon after they began spending their summers in Durango. Upon Bob's passing, Joan moved back to Chicago to be closer to her daughter and then followed her daughter and best friend back to Arizona last year where she lived out her final months. A private service will be held in Chicago on June 14, Mom's and Dad's 70th anniversary.
