Jill Baker Obituary

Our beautiful, vibrant, brilliant daughter and sister died on January 12, 2023. Jill was born in Durango, Colorado on November 23, 1966, grew up there, graduated from Durango High School in 1985, and spent her happiest years there. She loved animals and was fiercely passionate about social justice and human rights. She cherished friends and discourse, and had a wonderful, infectious laugh.

We will be returning her remains to her beloved Durango in early June for final rest. During that time we plan to have a brief celebration of her life for friends and family. If you or those you know would like to participate, please contact Andrea Baker at [email protected]. If you would like to commemorate her life, you can contribute in her name to

the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria,

Or to the La Plata County Humane Society.
