Jerry Beckler Obituary

Jerry Beckler passed just before his 74th birthday in September. The Becklers moved to Durango in 1986. Jerry spent the last 35 years enjoying local mountain adventures and working as a pharmacist in Durango & Bayfield. He is survived by his wife Peggy of 48 years, his son Paul (Breezy) Beckler, daughter Sara (David) Lazzeri, and 3 grandchildren. A memorial will be held Oct 23rd at LePlatt's Pond, 2pm.

I loved Jerry Beckler! I worked with him at Plaza Pharmacy. He was a brilliant, kind, humble man who was simply a joy. I learned so much from his character, gentleness, and wisdom. My greatest regret is that I did not spend more time with him. My condolences to the family.
