Jeremy Towery Obituary

Durango native Jeremy Garland Joaquin Quintana Towery died suddenly Monday, March 22, 2010, in Albuquerque. He was 34.

The cause of death was not disclosed.

Mr. Quintana Towery was born to Robert Towery and Simmie Quintana on July 31, 1975, in Durango. He graduated from

Sandia High School in Albuquerque in 1993.

He served in the presidential guard on the USS Independence while in the Marine Corps.

Mr. Quintana Towery is survived by his wife, Lisa Towery, of Albuquerque; children Joaquin Towery, Payton Towery and

Mercedes Towery, all of Albuquerque; mother, Simmie Quintana, of Albuquerque; grandparents Rumaldo “Ray" and Inez

Quintana, of Albuquerque; brother, Jeriod Towery, of Albuquerque; a niece and nephew; and numerous extended family

members, including many in the Durango area.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 26, 2010, at Calvary Chapel on Osuna N.E. in Albuquerque. A

second memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 29, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Durango. A

military burial will take place afterward at Green
