James Edwin Waggoner "JW" passed away January 29th, 2021. JW and his twin brother were born February 19th,1957 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Monro Val and Harumi "Dusty" Waggoner. JW's twin brother is Christopher Val, an older sister named Rae Yoshie, and a younger brother named William Kim. JW graduated from Durango High in 1975. JW was an EMT and fire fighter with Hermosa Cliff's Fire Dept. They enjoyed skiing and was a survivalist who loved the outdoors. JW was an avid reader, phenomenal chess player, poet, artist, wood worker, chef and collector of all things. JW had an entire family and community and we were all blessed to have known them. I want to remain as respectful as possible to all that knew JW. I hope that peace was found. Sheila Jolene. Tiffany Kealoha and Lanakila Yumi love you.

Whenever he came to my work he always had us laughing, with a cute or even corny joke. Never did I have a conversation with him that when it was over, I was left smiling. Thanks for your kindness and smiles Jim. Some people have pain and suffering and yet when you are around them... you'd never know. Glad I knew you. My condolences to the family and may he find peace and be pain free.
