What a great Pastor friend JW and Floy were to us. We met him in Colorado when Keith was pastoring our first AG church. Such a great mentor and support personally and professionally. Our paths crossed again in Ft Worth, later when Keith went to Brite seminary. He preached many revivals for us as we travelled to Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho and Texas. A true friend and brother in Christ. I imagine them right now reminiscing and prising God in heaven. Carol Davidson, Loving, TX

Floy, I was so sorry to read that JW had passed. I have many fond memories of you two in Durango and the fun we had at all the bank functions. He was very special and always had a smile and a good word for you. I hope you are doing well and want you to know I have thought of you and JW over the years. We see Dan (or maybe it is David) on occasion. Can't keep them straight. John saw one of them in Durango airport Sunday. I would like you to contact me if you can.

Floy and family, I remember when JW and Rev Hamilton and Rev Corkish et al engaged me in the fall of 72, my first year of law practice, to fight the liquor applications of Dgo's grocery stores. That led to an always warm and joy-producing friendship with him and with a lot of other folks too. May God always hold you close. Roger Candelaria

Always cheerful, always helpful, always dependable. An ideal example of a Christian walk. He will be sorely missed.

I met J.W. in 1975 when I was new to Dgo and he sold us 200 acres on the Mesa. In 1976 I became the secretary at Animas Realty (owned by J.W.) in Durango, Co. and with his blessings became a realtor starting a 30 year career. He was a very kind and patient man and I will forever be greatful. My prayers to the family.

JW was such a great friend and encourager to us. We were just starting in ministry, yet he blessed us by attending the AG church in Ignacio, Colorado. That was the start of a wonderful relationship. Floy and JW have always been a blessing to us. Keith and Carol Davidson, and Children: Opal, Brian, Marty and Sarah. Loving, Texas.
