I was so blessed to have lived next door to Jim and Gloria when I was a young woman and mother. She and Jim were both so smart sophisticated and yet down home type of people. We were the kind of neighbors that did not have coffee daily together but shared holiday time and were always available to each other for practical needs. What a gem of a person Gloria was. Definitely Jim's best friend and partner in crime. Oh yeah Jim was the La Plata county judge. A portrait of myself Danny Cotton, Mark Jones and Steve Bell hung in his chambers for years. I would love to know what happened to that portrait which was painted at Alvie and Nancy Moore's house one evening by Paul Falwell. Fun Memories. Rest in Peace Gloria

One of my favorite people to have a glass of iced tea with on a quiet summer afternoon. She was a wealth of information, kindness and the epitome of being a good neighbor. Add in her extraordinary knowledge of birds, and it was like living next-door to one of the nicest, informative and interesting woman I´ve ever met.
