This man made all the difference to me in his commitment to support Soldiers like me. I can remember more than a few times when Fritz went out of his way to help or provide advice. He had a great influence upon how I see my role in taking take of Soldiers and their families. One of my first heroes during Desert Storm and of my whole career!

Sergeant Fritz. "Fritz" for short.
He was a military father for me. Smoked like the Train in town, sounded like a hardened old dog... But had a heart of gold. We loved him for that. He pulled me out of my personal trenches, found me work on ADSW, gave me advice straight up, and always made me smile. I was a young and dumb 17 year old when we met, but he carried me underneath his angel wings. God bless you Fritz... You will always hold a special place in my heart.
