Ernest Lopez Obituary
Ernest is survived by his wife, Eve Alexandra Lopez, his son Samuel, his daughters, Angelina (Nathan) Amber (Arnulfo) and Octavia, his mother, Connie Flores, his siblings, Larry Arnold, (Denise) Gerald, (Pat) David, (Kathy) Thomas,(Jannette) Margret, Cruzita, (Ramie) and Linda. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel, his father John Samuel Lopez, his stepmother Delia Lopez, and brother Michael. He also is survived by his grandchildren, Andrew, Miriam, Mason, Remington, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ernest attended Durango High School, Fort Lewis College in Durango, and Colorado State University in Fort Collins, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
Beyond his professional endeavors and success, he found joy in skiing, wine making, farming, and spending time with his family.
Ernest leaves a legacy of hard work, dedication and love for his family and friends. He will be remembered lovingly and cherished by all those who knew him. Details of memorial services will be shared at a later date.

Ernie was my friend and classmate in Durango from 1963 to 1967. Kind-hearted, athletic, definitely one of the good guys.
