Douglas Larson Obituary

Douglas C. Larson, "Doug", owner / operator of Bullseye Windshield passed away February 9th, 2020 at Mercy Regional Medical Center. He put up a good and Godly fight, in a surprisingly short battle with cancer before Jesus called him home.

Doug was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 15th, 1955. He moved to Durango, Colorado in 1991 where he started his windshield company.

Lover of baseball, fishing, bird hunting, and their labradors, Doug and his wife Gail Larson shared many happy moments together. They were married on January 25, 1998. It was an amazing year, the Broncos won the Superbowl for the first time ever.

He will be truly missed by his best friend and wife, Gail. Doug is remembered by his stepsons, brothers, sister, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, and a large community of customers and friends.

Doug's Funeral Service will be Saturday, 2/22, 12:30pm at Florida Mesa Presbyterian Church (1024 CR-230, Durango, CO 81301). All who knew Doug are welcome. Thank you for spreading the word and God bless!

It’s been a year and I so miss our talks. It’s hard to walk without someone that was there for so long. I miss you my uncle and I hope and pray you are hanging out with terry and Luvern as it should be. Your impact is still great and my life is better because of you!!!! Mark

So sorry to hear this Gail and family. Doug was a great neighbor and friend. I bought my first car from him and had several windshields installed or repaired.. He was always joyful to be around and had good stories and insights to share. Fly high Doug! Sending love and prayers to Gail and family.

It is hard to imagine a better uncle and friend. Always there for me in good times and bad. He taught me to fish in a lake and with Christ. His love for the Yanks and baseball in general was unmatched. He led by example, he was tough, he was compassionate and a friend to all that would accept friendship. I will miss you UNC......and will see you soon.

I only knew Doug briefly, but I feel like I've known him forever because his loving wife told me stories and shared how much she loved him and that he was her best friend. I know you are in a better place Doug, but words cannot express how much you will be missed by those that knew and loved you.....rest easy my friend....

I remember taking Doug and his little brother Terry ice skating while living with them in Minneapolis. They were both a lot of fun and would play pranks on me & each other. Good memories of my brother-in law. Rest In Peace. Condolences to his family . Rose Post (Larson) Lakeville, MN.

Doug touched so many people's lives. Always talking about his love for his family. He was never too busy to stop and catch up no matter how it had been. He will be deeply missed and always loved and respected.

Doug-you will be sorely missed, driving around in your van, honking and waving as we crossed paths. You once told me you felt Jesus was calling you into His ministry. I never knew His ministry would continue in a Bullseye van. You never missed a chance to talk about what you loved most in this world, Jesus. All of heaven rejoices as they receive into the kingdom another true and faithful servant. I love you, brother.

My heart hurt when I heard the news. Fun memories came in about working together for a while 30 years ago and how it was great working with a hard working trustworthy man. I bought a good car from you as you cared for your cars. We missed you when you moved to Durango and thankfully we kept in touch over the years talking kids, baseball, dogs, vehicles, real estate, Jesus and life. You are missed.
