Douglas Hunt Obituary
He spent his childhood in Greybull, WY until moving to Durango in 1959.
Doug graduated from Durango High School in 1964 and joined the army where he learned his culinary skills. These skills would be the foundation of his career, where he worked as a hospital chef in Illinois, Utah, New Mexico before settling in Denver, CO.
Doug enjoyed camping with his wife and family. He was also a big fan of Colorado sports teams, never missing a televised game and flipping the channels to ensure he caught all the action.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dolores his sons Brian Hunt (Janice), Darren Hunt (Annette), Guy Andersen, daughters Dawn Hesse, Gay Moeller (Jim), brothers Darryl (Teresa), Randy (Robin), sister Jene' (Fred Klatt III), 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
A celebration of his life will be held in the spring.
