Doris Andrews Obituary

Doris Evelyn Babb Andrews was born in Fort Worth, TX on November 10, 1931 to Foy and Winnie Babb. She graduated from Northside High School in Fort Worth and got a degree in teaching at Texas Weslyan College in 1953. She was married in 1952 to Jay Andrews and raised a daughter and two sons. She taught school for several years and was also a lecturer for Weight Watchers. She was a member of several Texas Ski clubs where she learned to snow ski at 42. She continued to ski for 40 years. The clubs brought her to Colorado often. In 1994 Doris moved to Lake Vallecito where she met Bob Niggli. They spent 28 happy years together and traveled around the world. Doris was active with the Lake Vallecito Assistance League and Jeepers Creepers for several years. She is survived by daughter Jayna Marques (Bob), and sons Steve Andrews (Cheryl), and Scott Andrews (Cindi). She had 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She will be missed by all that knew her.
