Donna Read Obituary

Donna (Penman,Turner)Read went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 9th 2015,Surrounded by her loving family in Arboles Colorado.Donna was 73 years old.She was born on February 2nd,1942 in Montrose Colorado to Hazel Flowers and George Penman.Donna was a lifelong widowed native of Colorado and raised her 5 children in Montrose Colorado.She was known by many as "mom",as she always opened her home to those in need.Donna had a passion for animals and forever surrounded herself with dogs,cats,birds,even a pot bellied pig made an appearance in her loving home.She loved taking pictures of Colorado scenery and spending time with her family who loved her so much,they had a genuine closeness and she raised her children with great love.Donna loved playing games and was a fierce competitor who loved nothing more than winning any game she played.Those who knew Donna knew she had a heart of gold and a feisty spirit who was loved and adored by many.Donna was a huge Denver Bronco fan and enjoyed crocheting,she won several ribbons from Montrose county fair for her amazing talent.Donna is survived by her twin brother Donald Penman,6 children:Becky Mason,Tina (Corri) Musso,Robert (Denise) Turner,Lisa(Daniel)Points,Dana(Jason)Allen and James Turner,12 Grand children and 3 great granddaughters.Donna was proceeded in death by her parents and two siblings Ladell Penman and Georgia Jean Bieber.Services will be held at Arboles Baptist Church in Arboles Colorado Saturday July 18th 2015 at 11:00 AM
