I knew Don primarily through our mothers and grandmothers. Our grandmothers were friends and neighbors and his mother, Laura, told me she had been named after my mother! I became more acquainted with Don when we both lived in Albuquerque and I was happy to see him again a couple of years ago when my husband and I were visiting friends in his neighborhood. What an amazing guy! He must have been a wonderful teacher-

I am sad to hear the news of Don passing. I knew Don through my father. My father and Don worked together at Albuquerque Public Schools.
Don was my fitness inspiration and over the last couple of years I always enjoyed breakfast or lunch together and hearing his stories.
You will be missed my friend! May god bless you and rest easy!

Don was my first friend - our parents were very close neighbors and friends - 2nd Ave. - Durango, Colorado. Don was born three day before me. He was like a brother - what else can I say. May he now be free of his pains of the recent past. God be with you Don!

Don and I met about 12 years ago. We hit it off right away. We had a great time together going to yard sales, gun shows, the farmers market, pawn shops, and sometimes just for a ride in the country. Although we had a 17-year age difference we had an awful lot in common. He was a great guy.He was my friend.
