I was 17 when you died. I'm 22 now. Turned 22 2 days after your birthday. I haven't really spoken with anyone about you since it happened. I've tried. You'll come up in conversation with the wife or whatever from time to time, and my family got to hear me sob about you when the news first broke way back when, but I don't talk about you. Not really, anyways. Suppose it just hurts too much.

I tried today, though. I tried to talk to my camera about it to get some of these feelings out, but what's really left to say?

Everything I do, it feels like, I do because of you. If I can bring even a fraction of the joy that you've brought me to someone else, just ONE person, it'll all have been worth it.

I'm not in New York, I didn't get to see the bridge memorial while it was up, and I really don't know how long the mural is gonna be able to stay up, but I'm glad I at least get to pay my respects now.
