Debbie Tasevoli Obituary

Hesperus resident Debbie Carrasco Tasevoli died suddenly Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012, at her home in Hesperus. She was 51. The cause of death is unknown at this time.

Mrs. Tasevoli was born to Melvin and Frankie Graham on Sept. 18, 1960, in Roswell, N. M. She grew up in Roswell, and later lived in Lake City and Grand Junction.

On April 20, 2006, she married Chris P. Tasevoli in Las Vegas, after they had been together for 20 years.

She worked as a waitress in Durango for 25 years, at Francisco's Restaurante y Cantina, Christina's Bar & Grill, K-Bob's Steakhouse and Applebee's Neighborhood Grill. She also worked for several years in at the former Mercy Medical Center in the Sterile Processing Department, preparing instruments for surgery.

Her family said Mrs. Tasevoli enjoyed riding with her husband on his motorcycle and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Tasevoli is survived by her husband and companion of 26 years, Chris P. Tasevoli, of Hesperus; daughter Cheriese Carrasco Thrower of Hesperus; son, Steven Tasevoli, of Hesperus; brothers Chris Graham of Tulsa, Okla., and Jackie Graham of Lubbock, Texas; and three grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Hood Mortuary Chapel, 1261 East Third Ave. Cremation will occur after the service. A celebration of life will be held this summer.
