i remember when we were little boys on Summit Ridge. We often played together, swimming in the irrigation ditch, riding his pony, Maize; his Mom, Betty and his
Dad, Ervin....long ago...then later in Ft. Collins we met again...Davey had become an Air Force pilot. I can still see his smile.

Davey and I were little boys on Summit Ridge, it's between Mancos and Dolores. We swam in the irrigation ditch that ran in front of his place. We rode his horse, Maize, all over the place. We chased a rainbow over a little hill to find the pot of gold. We traded comic books...that was so long ago....we had fun. I ran into Betty at
CSU and learned that Davey was an Air Force pilot..RIP
