After Dr Wolfe retired and moved to New Mexico, he took courses in plumbing and electricity so that he could help Becky with her cabin in the mountains. After Dan and Jan moved into La Vida Llena, I remember that his wonderful smile made his eyes just twinkle!

In the 70s I worked for Dr. Wolf as his assistant. I learned a lot and enjoyed the work. What I remember most about him was his great, dry sense of humor. He was also a very good doctor.

Dr. Wolfe delivered my second daughter and was an excellent doctor. My sympathy to his family.

On Sept 26, 1981 Dr Wolfe delivered my son Stephen into the world at Community Hospital in Durango. It was an early morning birth and I remember the poor doctor sitting on his stool with his head propped against the wall snoozing because my labor had taken a nap. When I was finally ready to push we politely tapped him awake and he got right back into it. Fond memories. Dr McKinley delivered my first two and when he retired Doctor Wolfe took over. They were both great doctors and just plain good people.
