Cruz Johnson Obituary
Cruz was happily married to Charles (Chuck) Johnson for 60 years and together they raised five wonderful children: Charles Jr, Warren, Maurice, Rachel, and Mandy. They also had the joy of welcoming four grandchildren into their lives.
Cruz attended Durango High School before furthering her education at Hollywood Cosmetology School. She went on to have a successful career as a cosmetologist, bringing beauty to the lives of many.
Outside of work, Cruz had a passion for gardening and the Denver Broncos and could often be found tending to her beautiful flowers and plants with love and care.
Although Cruz will be deeply missed, she will always be remembered for her loving spirit, dedication to family, and knack for making people look and feel their best.
Rest in peace, Cruz Johnson. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
A memorial service will take place in Durango at Hood Mortuary on 11/16/2024 at 1:00 P.M.

Our Aunt Cruz was a big part of our lives when we were young, she lived with us, in Ogden Utah, while she was getting her cosmetology license, we had so much fun listening to her 45´s and dancing to Little Richard songs and watching Elvis Presley on Ed Sullivan. She would let me stay with her and go to work, at the hair salon "Bon Marche", I would love to help her sweep up the hair and clean combs and brushes! She taught us about curling hair and eyelashes applying makeup and mascara! I would comment how I would want to be a "beauty" like my Aunt Cruz, I meant a beautician! Everyone would laugh... No one could be as beautiful as she! Aunt Cruz loved to tell the latest joke, even listen to our knock -knock jokes! You are free now in your garden of peace and in our hearts Aunt Margaret also holds Cruz so dear and close in her heart!
