Conni Young-Lucas Obituary
Tradition dictates that I have to name everyone my mom loved, and everyone who loved her, and everywhere she lived. Mom and I were never ones to stand on tradition. I don't find it helpful to get my fifteen minutes of fame from this incredibly hurtful document. I will, however, say this. Mom is preceded in death and survived in death by a whole bunch of people. If you knew her, you loved her. And she never turned her head to work. She was not perfect, but she was pretty great right down to her last breath. The story still ends the same, no matter how you tell it. Mom's riding for team Jesus now. Be well. Celebration of life will be at Rusty's Old Bar in Dove Creek, Saturday August 11th at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donate to Southern Baptist of Dove Creek.

Conni was a great gal. If you knew her, really knew her, you couldn't help but love her quick wit, generous nature and big, beautiful heart.....she really did have a beautiful heart. My sympathies to you, Krista, she loved you dearly. Ellen Warren and family

My heart and prayers are with all of you in the loss of Conni. May God grant you all the peace and comfort that only He can do and May you let the good memories live on. I cooked at the Breen sale barn when I met Conni, Jerry, Bob, Mary AND their families. I even helped her daughter and a friend get all the tag glue off their hands before they got in big trouble! Then I saw Conni again in Dove Creek and we have been friends forever. I will miss her and our visits! Friend, Marilyn Colcord

Conni, I will always remember your immaculate home, stocked with cinnamon rolls and evening meals that you opened to me and so many others through your life. You loved and were loved by many. May you find comfort in the arms of your parents and brothers who proceeded you in death.
