Bud, you've always been a force of nature, and I reckon like the weather, it's gone time for your spirit to rise up over those mountains. Good men are few, and by God you've led the pack. Your true nature shines on in your great kids -- true reflections of yours and Judi's loving influence. We may have had to endure some rough work together here and there, but, man, we sure managed to make some fun out of it! You -- and your family -- enriched my life in ways that can never be forgotten. (Except I forgot your name was Charles!)

Bud was truly a wonderful friend. From the time we first met on the road in Lake Durango to a couple of months ago when we spent 1/2 hour on the phone just talking about everything he was always someone I knew was a true friend. He was always there to help whether it was coming out on a wintry night to help get my car back on the road to helping us get our water line fixed. We shared stories of Chicago and our families. I will miss him terribly.

What a character, good one though. Enjoy his sence of humor for years , never could get one ahead of him when it came to jokes. Witty, kind hearted person. You left too early because I don't have anyone else to laugh with like you. Love you man.

I worked with Bud on the Hermosa water systems. He was great guy! The world was a better place with him in it!

I remember how Tommy´s face would light up every time we ran into Bud around town or when he would stopped in to Solids to say "Hello" when we were working.
That and the endless stories of him trying to keep Tommy and Ryan in line when they were growing up. I´ve used some of his wisdom (and lines) on my kids.
Bud was one of a kind. I´m proud to say I knew a man like him.

Bud Fitts was the guy who would actually give you the shirt off his back, crack an off-color joke, and then fix your sewer line. I first met him in the 1980s when my former husband worked with him on sewer and water systems. A true friend for life. My heart goes out to everyone in his family. Bud Fitts was a one-of-a-kind human and he loved his family above all else.
