Chandra Williamson Obituary

Chandra Naomi Silvernail Williamson left this earth to fly with the angels on June 4th, 2016. She was cuddled by her twin sister Jasmine, surrounded by the rest of her family and friends while holding her Mom's hand.

Chan was diagnosed with a rare aggressive cancer in November of 2015. She started her fight at Porter Hospital in Denver, was also treated at University Hospital in Denver and came home for her last battle in May. She lived to be 42 years old.

She fancied muscle cars, especially her Trans Am. She was a super four wheel driver, first in her Red and White Four Runner and later in the Silver one, delighting in adventures going up La Plata Canyon and the ghost towns around Silverton. She spent as much time as she could at Navajo Lake and has requested that her ashes be scattered there while those who love her are having a good time.

Chan adored animals, especially Chihuahuas.

She cherished children and her daughter Brianna was the light of her life. She told her daughter that having her was the best thing she ever did in this life.

Career wise, Chan liked nontraditional jobs like doing oil changes in vehicles and she took great pleasure with her latest job of being a tile laborer.

She would act and talk tough to cover up the fact that she was a very soft hearted and caring woman.

Chandra is survived by her daughter Brianna, her twin sister Jasmine and partner Rick, her brother Dustin and his wife Nikol, her mother Melissa (Kimball) Strand, her step father Craig Strand, step brother Steve Kimball and his children , step siblings from the Strand clan, Sigri and husband Jesse, Iris and husband Curtis, Clay and wife Rose and their children Isiah, Kailash and Ambica, several aunts, uncles, cousins and a huge extended family and friends.

We are so grateful for the wonderful nurses from Hospice of Mercy. They are truly Angels!

She requested that memorial donations be made to La Plata County Humane Society or any Chihuahua rescue.

I will miss our chance meetings. Talking like we had never been apart.

We, your quick lube family, used to joke that you would never grow up. And I always hoped you wouldn't. You had a unique way of mothering us all.

Fly high, Chan, and watch over us.
And sometimes - send us a reminder that we need to live - not just exist.
