Celine Bleger Obituary
Ms. Bleger was born to Jean-Pierre and Rebecca Bleger on Dec. 8, 1993, in Durango. She attended New Life and Columbine Christian schools and Grace Preparatory Academy.
She lived in Durango her whole life and was a business partner in her family's businesses, both in Durango and in France, including Jean-Pierre Bakery.
"She loved going to the movies and had an extensive list of movies that she wanted to see," her family said. "She would always be ready to ask you who your favorite actor was or what movie your 'favorite of all-time' was. She loved to go to the movie theater and see all the new releases."
Ms. Bleger wanted to see the world and had made a list of places to visit and things to see. In recent years, she had crossed off Disney World, Dallas, England and France from her list. She spoke often of upcoming trips to Australia, South America and other destinations.
"Although she was only truly a 'blood sister' to her brothers Adam and Jerome, she was remembered as 'everyone's little sister,'" her family said. "She always had a kind word for whomever she encountered. When she asked you how you were doing, she had a sincerity that was unmatched."
An active member of the River Church, Ms. Bleger served in various classrooms as well as being a member of the church's young adult ministry, Reframe.
"Celine simply loved unconditionally," one of her friends told her family. "She was such an encouragement to me with her faithfulness."
Ms. Bleger is survived by her parents, Jean-Pierre and Rebecca Bleger of Durango; brothers Jerome Bleger of Durango and Adam Bleger of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and four nieces and two nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. today, May 7, 2013, at the River Church, 860 Plymouth Drive in Durango. Cremation will occur.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to La Plata County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2164, Durango, CO 81302.
