John Acito Obituary

Greece: passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the age of 68. He is preceded in death by his parents Vito and Elaine Acito, his brother Gary Acito, and his wife Joanne Acito. He is survived by his daughter Stephanie Sault (Ryan), son Daniel Acito, brothers Paul Acito (Debbie), Vito Acito (Linda), Marc Acito, Dean Acito, sister Mary Acito-Southcott (Dan), and numerous nieces and nephews. John will be remembered as a quiet, yet kind man, with a knack for hilarious one-liners. He was an avid hockey enthusiast, giving his support to the New Jersey Devils. John loved spending time with his family, as well as his many cats. No matter where he went, if a cat was there, they would seek him out. He was a huge lover of pasta, as well as the occasional serving of bar style chicken wings. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, friends are welcome to donate to the American Heart Association (https://heart.org), or to the Brain Trauma Foundation (https://braintrauma.org)

Oh my gosh, I just heard of John's passing. My condolences to the entire family. John was my neighbor for 30+ years and he was always a kind hearted and understanding person. Even while visiting at the mailbox, he always had a kind greeting and checked in on things. I'm saddened for the loss of a kind soul.
