Bonnie Jung Obituary

Bonnie Lynn Jung was born July 9, 1933 in Albia, Iowa and passed away on October 11, 2022 in Durango, Colorado. Bonnie the youngest of four children born to Raymond Creighton Newman I and Patricia Lillian Alford.

In 1948, Bonnie married Robert Herman Anstead and from that marriage 3 children were born: Robert, Frank and Pann Dora. This marriage later ended in divorce.

In 1983, Bonnie married Richard "Dick" Jung in Durango. Bonnie and Dick spent 39 wonderful years together.

Bonnie enjoyed gardening and was an excellent painter of outdoor scenery. Bonnie loved her God and her life with her husband by creating a beautiful comfortable home together. She loved living in beautiful Colorado and enjoying all the outdoor activities it has to offer, especially fishing.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her sisters: Beverly Greene and Barbara Cook; son Robert B. Anstead and stepson, Richard Anstead.

Bonnie is survived by: her husband, Dick; son Frank Raymond Anstead; daughter Pann Dora Anstead; stepson Ronald D. Jung; brother Raymond C. Newman II, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A memorial service for Bonnie will be held at 11am on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at St Paul's Lutheran Church, 2611 Junction St., Durango. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to St Paul's Lutheran Church, Habitat for Humanity, The Salvation Army or an organization of your choice.

Bonnie's family would like to thank the nursing staff at Mercy Hospice House for the exceptional care they gave her.
