Bobby Mills Obituary

Durango resident, Bobby Earl Mills died Saturday, March 17, 2012, in Farmington. He was 76.

Mr. Mills was born March 24, 1935, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Euel Franklin Mills and Lillie Mae Adams-Mills.

Mr. Mills married Crystal Sue Patrick on June 19, 1954, in Kansas City, Mo. They had two sons together.

In 1955, Mr. Mills served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Japan until 1959. By the end of his service, he had earned the rank of corporal.

Mr. Mills was a longtime resident of Farmington where he worked at the Gas Company of N.M. for several years.

In 1990, he moved to Durango where he worked at the Durango Bus Center until retiring in 2005.

During his lifetime, Mr. Mills enjoyed fishing, playing poker and "took up dancing in the last years of his life," his family said.

Mr. Mills is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Crystal Sue Patrick Mills.

He is survived by his sons Robert David Mills of Farmington, Darrell W. Mills of Miami; his brother Stanley D. Mills of Houston; sisters Lola P. Mills-Williams of Houston, Vera B. Mills Dalton of Kansas City, Mo.; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday March 21, 2012, at Cope Memorial Chapel in Farmington.
