Angelo Sturn Osa Obituary

Br. Angelo "John" E. Sturn, OSA, age 81, died on January 5. A native of Cleveland, he professed vows in the Augustinian Order in 1968. He served at St. Rita High School, Chicago; St. Monica Monastery, Oconomowoc, WI; Immaculate Conception/St. Henry Parish, St. Louis; St. Jude School, New Lenox, IL; and also assisted with the Monican Press, the Augustinian Guild, and the Province Healthcare Program. He is remembered for his gentle and caring personality. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary (Longo) Sturn; his siblings Nicholas, Rose Mary, Joseph, and Paul (Nicolina) Sturn; and his brother-in-law Bill Pavlick. He is survived by sister Theresa Pavlick; his nephews Anthony, Billy, and Michael Pavlick; and his great-niece Harper Pavlick. Visitation is on Mon., Jan. 12, at 10 AM, followed by Mass at 11 AM at St. Anthony/Majestic Care, 203 W. Franciscan Dr., Crown Point, IN 46307. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Augustinians, 10161 S. Longwood Dr., Chicago, IL 60643, to support care of elderly friars and seminary formation of young friars appreciated.
