Dear family of Joan Haga, Your Mom hired me right after my father died. They had worked together on construction projects. She was running H & R Block. I was originally hired to come in and assemble tax papers. She soon promoted me and let me work around my college schedule. I will always be indebted to her for hiring me when I need a job to pay for college. She let me work as many hours as I could. She taught me a lot. She was firm, fair, and a great boss. She was also funny and had such a big heart. Joan was so smart and she had quite a following of people who sought her for tax advice. She was always willing to lend a helping hand. What I learned was most important to her was her family. Her children each had a special place in her heart. She and Don had many great times together, yet their focus was always on their children and their families. I had not visited with her since she moved to Arizona. Please know I thought so much of your beloved mother.

Joan will be in a peaceful place now and reunited with all her family. We had the privilege of knowing her many years. Don and Joan were always there to help and great friends. Peace to their family.
