Born in Long Beach Ca to Chet and Mae Tingley. Dale moved to Durango at 6 months old where he lived until his passing on Jan. 4, 2021. After graduating from Durango High School he enlisted in the Army National Guard. Dale then Served the City of Durango in Law Enforcement for a few years. Dale retired after over 20 years of volunteer service as a Lieutenant with the Colorado Mounted Rangers. He retired after 28 years as a Technician for Xerox Corp while owning and operating Carriages for Hire for 18 of those years. Dale spent the last 20 winters in Zapata Tx. where he could fish and golf all winter. He was an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing his entire life as well as teaching his boys and others the joy and splendor of the outdoors. He was also a 54yr. Life Member of Durango Elks Lodge. Dale was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, mentor, and friend.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents Chet and Mae Tingley and his sisters, Dody Ross, and Janice Coombs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lynn Tingley, and sons and daughter in-laws, Garry and Cindy Tingley of Dallas Tx, Roger and Dina Tingley of Farmington NM, and Greg and Charity Tingley of Aztec NM. Seven Grandchildren and 7 Great Grand-children.

A Celebration of life will be held later this spring or early summer.
