Vicki Ramey Obituary

Vicki Elaine Jones Ramey was born February 22, 1948 and went to be with Jesus July 26, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by two daughters, Melanie Watanabe and husband Jim of Beaumont, Texas, and Jennifer Ramey of Trinity, Texas. She had nine beloved grandchildren, Johnathan Ramey, Ryan Lambert, Gabrielle Vanmeter, Tommy Ramey, Kelli Ramey, Trey Ramey, Madelyn Watanabe, Ty Ramey, and Brendan Watanabe. Also, she had one great granddaughter, Abrien Ramey-Ware. She is survived also by siblings Richard Jones and wife Kay, Cheryl Rushing and husband Bobby, Nancy Pick, Sandy Sledge and husband Rusty, and Carl Jones and wife Mary, and many precious nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Tom, son Troy, brother Edward Jones, sister Anita Trow, and brother George Jones, as well as parents Edward Jones and Jessie Cannaday Jones.

Vicki had many life phases, between working at Tom's firm and raising children, to becoming ill, then raising three bonus children.  She married her high school sweetheart and eventually they settled back into Trinity. She enjoyed attending sporting events and school functions with her grandchildren, and loved the members of the Presbyterian church, and so many friends who were additional family.

Vicki often repeated "this is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it." Although we are feeling devastating loss, we also are delighted that she is today rejoicing in the presence of the Lord.
