Peggy Fuchs Obituary

Peggy Sue Fuchs (Christopher) age 72 born on September 4, 1949 of Houston, Texas passed away on May 8, 2022 after battling an illness. She is preceded in death by her father Russell G. Christopher, mother Cloe Jarrell, son Philip Payne and ex-husband Richard Fuchs.

Peggy grew up in Oklahoma City and went to Northwest Classen High School. In 1980, she moved to Houston and married Richard Fuchs. Peggy is survived by her two loving daughters Angie Canales and husband Todd of Cedar Park, Texas; Monica Schreiber and husband Paul of Houston, Texas. Also, sister Martha Seitz and husband Tim of Richmond, Virginia; brother Russell Christopher and wife Pamela of Richardson, Texas; niece Robin Brooks, and nephews Chris and Charles Seitz. She loved and adored her five grandchildren Tyler Canales, Morgan Canales, Kayla Schreiber, Taylor Schreiber, and Justin Schreiber who were always happy to see their Grandma Peg.

She had a long professional career and many friends from work who she reminisced about often. Peggy worked for Dow in the 1980’s, Destec Energy in the early 1990’s, Dynegy and finally retired from Debner & Company. Many conversations included stories of her work life and people she met along the way. Peggy knew downtown Houston like the back of her hand. Back in the day she loved to meet up with friends and go country and western dancing at The Longhorn in Houston. When she retired, she and her daughters took a girls’ trip to Galveston to celebrate the mile stone. She adored her furry companion, Socks, who was with her the last three years of her life. Peggy’s wishes were to be cremated.
