Christine Locklear Obituary
Mrs. Christine Locklear, 67, of Lumberton, NC, departed this life on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Scotland County, NC on September 22, 1954 to the late Jethro and Lester Locklear.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Tony and David Earl Locklear, and a sister, Betty Locklear.
She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Harold Locklear of the home; a daughter, Crystal M. Locklear (Phillip) of Lumberton, NC; two sons, Richard Locklear and Brett Locklear, both of Lumberton, NC; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, Johnny Locklear (Beverly) and Alton Locklear (Deloise); and a sister, Lyre Lowry (Wilkie).
She was a breast cancer survivor and her hobbies included: going to the beach and to the mountains, loved watching her grandkids play ball, and spending time with her family and friends. She had the strength of a lioness and a heart of gold. She was truly loved by so many and she will truly be missed. Her family will forever be changed.
The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, from 2:00-3:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Nick McNeill officiating.
Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
