Patricia Taylor Obituary

Patricia Ann Taylor, 71, of Flora Vista New Mexico passed away suddenly in her home on April 8, 2018.

Born on February 4, 1947 in Albert Lee Minnesota to Richard and Lois Placek, Pat grew up in Austin Minnesota where she graduated from High School. She started her higher education at Austin Community College where she achieved an Associate's Degree in Mathematics with a Minor in Music. After graduation Pat attended Winona State University, in Winona Minnesota, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics with a Music Minor. It was

here Pat met her first husband Larry Libersky. They were married after Graduation and shortly Larry was drafted into the Army. Pat went with him to his duty station in Hamburg Germany. His tour ended and they returned to Minnesota in time for the Birth of their son Jason A. Libersky. Larry then attended the University of Oregon at Portland as a Physics Graduate Student. They spent a year in Portland and then they moved to the land Pat loved.

They both attended New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro New Mexico. Here Pat earned a Master Degree in Statistics. It was also here that her first marriage ended and she met the Love of her life, Roy. After Graduation Pat taught Statistics and Calculus at Utah State University in Logan Utah but after two semesters she returned to Socorro, and the man she loved, married, and was with for the next 43 wonderful years.

After school Roy began a career in the Oil and Gas Industry which took them first to Santa Fe for a year and then to Farmington. They soon bought a home in Flora Vista New Mexico where she lived the rest of her life.

Pat taught at San Juan Collage for several years but was not satisfied. Having learned to ski at 30 years of age she became a Professional Ski instructor at 40 and taught Skiing at Purgatory until her retirement 21 years later. Patricia was a warm loving person who lived for her family and her animals. Anyone who knew Patricia knew her love, kindness, and compassion.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Lois Placek and her brothers Jimmy and David Placek. Patricia is survived by her husband Roy G. Taylor, of Flora Vista, New Mexico. Her Son, Jason A Libersky and his Wife, Manuela T. Mondloch, and by her beloved Grandchildren Anton J Libersky and Mathis A Libersky of Albuquerque New Mexico.

Roy-

I was saddened to learn of Pat's passing. She will be fondly remembered by all who learned to ski or skied and worked with her. I'm sure she'll be out with you each time you go out skiing. God bless you and your family.
