Mrs. Griego, MaryLou, Sandra, Debbie, Michael and all the grandchildren and great grandchildren. I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Griego. I remember when your family opened Griego's Taco Stand over by my Grandmothers house. My Grandmother remembered your family and would always mention Mr. and Mrs. Griego when we spoke of the past. Through the years that I lived in Durango I had many goodies and tasty meals from Grieago's. I had more than one occasion to do business with Griego's Lock and Key. Sometimes I would just stop in to see if Mr. Griego was there and chit chat for a few minutes.
Again I'm very sorry to hear of Mr. Griego's passing. I send the entire family prayers and condolenses. God bless you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Griego and the entire family have always been so kind to me it is beyond words. I would eat lunch nearly everyday at the old Taco Hut. Why? For one the food! But even more to me was the way I was treated. You see I am that dirty chimney sweep. The one Mr.& Mrs. Griego bought and kept Lava soap in that tiny bathroom for me to use. While other Restaurants would frown on my business, (hands being dirty from cleaning chimneys) You bought me Lava soap. Mr. Greigo would often sit at the picnic table with me while I ate lunch. Mrs. Griego would do the same. They encouraged me and respected me. I looked forward to my lunch there everyday because you nourished me physically and mentally. All your daughters treated me with smiles and kindness, all a direct reflection of the life you led. You are deeper in my heart than I think you know. I am very sad for your loss and pray God be with you. When my wife and I moved from Durango to Florida, we missed so many things. None more than Griegos. Thank you. Bob Haggerty (former Ashes to Ash Chimney Sweep)
