Aunt Mary was such a sweet and loving person, always happy and fun to be around ! My sister Bodie and I just loved being around her. She would take us swimming and ice skating on the Animas River and made it the best of times. She would take us to hunt for arrow heads out on the Mesa and we went with her to gather pinion nuts with her too.. We just loved Aunt Mary as little children and as we all grew older.
When Uncle Sonny died, she gave me his horse Bonnie. I was so honored and loved that horse so much. Aunt Mary always looked so pretty with her short hair, silver ear rings and simple yet stylish clothing.
She never said a negative word, alway so positive! Every moment spent with Aunt Mary was a good one:)
One of the last times I got to see her she had picked cherries off her tree for us to make a pie and before we parted, she held our hands and prayed together. I love you Aunt Mary❤
