Jeff Jungen, 57, of Parker, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 17, 2018. Devoted husband of Paula and proud father of Brandon and Nick. Beloved son of James and Janice Jungen. Dear brother of Cathy (Bob) Durham, Eric (Patty) Jungen, and Sara (Mike) McVaugh. Also survived by loving nephews Zander & Hayden Jungen, Jordan & Jonah Durham, and nieces Jessica & Emily McVaugh, and Julia Jungen. He was preceded in death by his brother Mark. In his younger years, especially when he lived in Durango, Jeff was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, hunting, skiing, dirt biking, and boating. He was an Army veteran and attended West Point. After becoming a father, Jeff loved to spend time with his boys, teaching them that same outdoor enthusiasm and helping them through Boy Scouts. Later in life Jeff found he had a knack for fixing computers and computer software. He enjoyed entertainment of all genres, including books, movies and video games. He was deeply loved, and will forever be missed.
Funeral services were held in Parker, Colorado where he is laid to rest. A private celebration of life will be held in Durango at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Troop 280, the Parker, CO Boy Scout troop where Brandon and Nick both earned the rank of Eagle (send checks to Parker Funeral Home) or to the Jeff Jungen Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo Bank benefitting Brandon and Nick's education.
