Ed Wommer passed away peacefully Monday, 2/01/2016, at Cottonwood Inn Nursing Home in Durango. He was 94 years old.
Ed was born 12/20/1921, to Henry Wommer and Martha Baily Wommer in Bayfield, CO. He was actively involved in the family ranch in the Pine River Valley from birth until his late 80's.
Ed is survived by his daughter Terri McMinn-Lewis; 4 grandchildren: Kyle & Dawn Wommer, Jeremy McMinn, & Jaime Messier, & 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Gosney-Wommer; son Monte Wommer, & daughter Lorna Farrow.
A Graveside Service will be held at Pine River Cemetery, Bayfield on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial contributions to: Florida Mesa Presbyterian Church 1024 C.R. 230, Durango, CO 81301.

I am so sorry for the loss of your father. He was so good to my boys (Bill and Matt Quintana) and they thought so much of him and spoke highly of him. He was a good man. You and your family are in my prayers.

Please accept the Watkins Family's sympathy for the loss of your Dad and Granddad. I'm glad that I got in a good visit with him last October.
He was so good to our family for so many years, and we will cherish many fond memories of our time with him on the ranch.
