Carol LaDean Brown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on March 9, 2017, in Farmington, New Mexico. She was born in Butler, Oklahoma on February 20, 1934. Carol graduated from Durango High School in 1952. She attended Southwest Bible College in Waxahachie, Texas. She lived in Texas from 1953 until 1982 when she returned to Durango, Colorado. Before moving to Farmington in 1996, she worked at Animas Valley Carpet and Foursquare Gospel Church in Durango. She most recently attended First United Methodist Church in Farmington. She enjoyed Bible study, collecting, crossword puzzles and needlework. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ida Jones, and her niece, Danette Jenkins. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Dean Brown, Farmington, New Mexico. She is also survived by her son Randy (Sandy) Robertson of Scurry, Texas, her daughter, Debi (Howard) Barry of Bulverde, Texas, her sister Anita (Bill) Barnes of Farmington, New Mexico, Grandson Jeremiah Robertson and son Kaleb of Canton, Ohio, Granddaughter Melissa (Dave) Miller, Kinsley and Joe of Scurry, Texas, Nephew Russell (Sara) Barnes, Tiffany, Colorado, Nephew Kenneth Jenkins, Niece Dawn (Paul) Richardson, Great nephew, Mark Jenkins and his sons, Aiden and Wyatt, Great nephew Kevin and Great niece Jennifer). Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at First United Methodist Church in Farmington. In lieu of flowers, memorials/donations may be made to Gideons International, P. O. Box 1523, Farmington, New Mexico 87499.
