Brian Keith Jessup, born on December 28, 1956, in Columbus, OH, left us on November 27, 2018, at the age of 61. He is survived by his daughters Lisa Trachbrodt of Littleton, CO., RitaAnne Jessup of Berthoud, CO., and Kelly Jessup of Durango, CO.; followed by their mother, Tamara Jessup of Durango, CO., and his two brothers Kevin Jessup of Columbus, OH., and Terry Jessup of Highlands Ranch, CO.
At the time of his death and leading up to, he was living in Lexington, KY., with his fiance' Charlee Heaton. Where they enjoyed exploring the outdoors together.
Brian was an accomplished journeyman electrician, was well-liked and an admired member of the community for decades.
He was an incredibly well-read man, he read every newspaper available to him. He loved literature and found time to devour books as often as he could. He shared his love of meaningful words with his children.
Music was a close second in his world. His extensive collection of rock'n roll instilled a life-long admiration in anyone close to him.
He spent 30 years loving the outdoors of Southwest CO. Whether he was camping, fishing, hunting or simply sleeping wild and free under the bright stars.
He spent his life loving, giving, reflecting and dreaming. He allowed himself the space to let love in when he could and he gave love every chance he felt the strength to do so. Brian also took every opportunity to tell a joke, or to be goofy and fun with his girls.
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends. He wished to be cremated and for a memorial to be held by his daughters, which will be held in Durango in the spring of 2019.
Anyone wishing to send condolences may do so by contacting his daughter RitaAnne at (303) 968-5485.
