Barbara Ellen (Frost) Corrigan was born June 7, 1921 near Bayfield. She married Francis Corrigan July 29, 1940. They lived in Pagosa Springs until 1964, then to Fort Collins for 7 years and moved to Durango where she lived until 2011. She died May 8, 2016 in Scottsdale, Arizona where she lived the last 5 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Francis and her sister Phyllis. She is survived by her children Jean (Mike) Hays, James (Judy), Deanne Norton and her "adopted daughter" Meg (Greg) Bush and her daughters, 5 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7 greatgreat grandchildren, sister-in-law Margaret Parkman, niece Linda Black and several cousins.
She worked as a nurse and respiratory therapist at Mercy Hospital. She volunteered as swimming instructor, with Hospice, Meals on Wheels and the Methodist Thrift shop. She loved driving around in the mountains, swimming, took water aeorbics until she was 90 and horseback riding. She was a member of First Methodist Church and Eastern Star.
