Tony Louis Bernard passed away peacefully at his home in Missoula, MT on September 1, 2018. He was born on December 14, 1959 in New Orleans, LA, to the late Anthony and Winnie Bernard. Tony had many careers over his lifetime, but ultimately decided on nursing late in his life. He graduated from San Juan College in Farmington, NM, where he was loved by fellow students, instructors and patients. He continued his education and completed his BSN from Purdue University. Tony had a huge heart and never met anyone he didn't like and who didn't love him in return. He enjoyed hunting, drawing and playing guitar and making a mean gumbo. Tony is survived by his wife, Vicki; brothers Michael Bernard and David Bernard; and grandchildren, Montana, Justin, Liam, and Amarie. He also leaves behind his adored dogs, Lizzie and Scoobie.

I met Tony at New Country Auto Center Durango Colorado. Tony was always smiling, I am from the south and moved to Durango for the job. Tony and I were talking when we first met and I said, couple of things that are bad for me in CO. He said what do you mean. I said No Sweet Tea, no grits, and no DUKES mayonnaise..he was laughing so hard and shaking his head yes....RIP
